Hotel workforce management · OPERA Cloud integration

AI workforce management for hotels on OPERA Cloud.

HotelCadence is a workforce management platform for hotels: it reads the reservation data already in Oracle OPERA Cloud and turns it into hourly demand forecasts per department and auto-drafted rosters your managers approve. Hotels cut 6–12% of labor cost without cutting guest service — and nothing writes back into OPERA.

Worked example

Singapore group, three properties: the evening queue was already in OPERA

At 81% occupancy with hiring capped, one group's front desks queued from 17:00 to 20:00 while mornings sat overstaffed. The arrival curve predicting it was in OPERA Cloud all along. Rostering to that curve, plus a cross-property float pool, cut front-office hours 7% and average check-in wait 40%, with review scores unchanged.

Setup

Go live in three steps

Read-only integration user · counts and dates only, no guest-identifying data · revocable by your Oracle administrator at any time.

Step 1

Authorize read-only access

Your Oracle administrator creates a read-only OHIP integration user scoped to the pilot properties. No OPERA screens change and front-desk workflow is untouched, this is configuration, not an interface project.

Step 2

Backfill and calibrate

HotelCadence pulls up to two years of reservation history through OHIP and calibrates hourly demand forecasts per department against your own actuals, so accuracy is proven on your data before anyone rosters against it.

Step 3

Go live and measure

Forecasts refresh as pickup changes and draft rosters flag shifts that no longer match demand. Managers approve everything, and results are measured monthly against your agreed baseline.

OPERA Cloud integration questions, answered

How long does an OPERA Cloud integration take?

The gating step is your Oracle administrator granting a read-only OHIP integration user; backfill and forecast calibration run in parallel after that. Multi-property chains typically stagger go-lives property by property.

Is HotelCadence listed on Oracle Cloud Marketplace?

Certification listing is in progress. The connection itself does not depend on it: HotelCadence uses standard OHIP REST APIs with a read-only integration user your administrator controls and can revoke at any time.

We are mid-migration from OPERA 5 to OPERA Cloud, should we wait?

No. OHIP serves OPERA Cloud, so migrated properties connect immediately; for properties still on OPERA 5 we start from scheduled exports and switch each one to the OHIP feed as it migrates. Chains often use the pilot to pressure-test the migration data itself.

Does HotelCadence write anything back into OPERA?

No. The integration user is read-only and nothing is written back, rates, reservations, profiles and blocks in OPERA are never touched. Forecasts and draft rosters live in HotelCadence, where managers review and approve them.

Where does our data live, and what about guest privacy?

HotelCadence needs counts, dates, rates and segments, not guest-identifying data. Hosting is in-region, with Singapore as the default APAC residency and portfolio-specific options for chains of 10 or more properties.

Part of our portfolio runs Mews or Cloudbeds, can one rollout cover both?

Yes. OPERA Cloud properties connect via OHIP, the others via the Mews or Cloudbeds APIs, and the whole portfolio rolls up into one view with identical per-department, per-hour forecasts and one baseline measurement method.
